Overview
Opportunity for a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team.
Our small private modern office setting requires strong interpersonal skills in communicating with our patients. We pride ourselves for our high standard of care, while getting to know our patients well.
Seeking ONE DAY every other week, to start, either Tuesdays & Thursdays (potential Mondays). Flexibility in day, but committed to 8:45 am - 5:30 pm. typical day.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, excellent clinical skills, and a thorough understanding of dental hygiene practices. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in promoting oral health, providing preventive care, and supporting the overall success of our dental practice. This position offers an engaging environment where your expertise can make a meaningful difference in patients' lives.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current oral health status.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies.
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Collaborate with dentist to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
Ensure the sterilization and aseptic technique are strictly followed to uphold infection control standards.
Valid NJ state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice.
Familiarity with dental office Carestream software is highly desirable.
Knowledge of infection control procedures, aseptic techniques, and sterilization protocols.
Strong patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately.
