Job Overview
New graduates and current hygienists are encouraged to apply. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our non-DSO, individual owned dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, focusing on preventive oral health and education. This role requires a compassionate approach to patient care, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with the dental team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Available days: Tuesdays and Wednesdays 12 am - 6 pm, First Saturday of each Month 8 am - 3 pm.
Duties
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatric patients.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take X-rays including PAs, BWs, Pan, Ceph, CBCT, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Utilize intra-oral camera and digital scanner.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Utilize Eagledoft software for patient management and record keeping.
Stay current with dental terminology and best practices to provide the highest standard of care.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow in the office.
Skills
Strong knowledge of pediatric dentistry and experience working with children is preferred.
Familiarity with dental imaging technology and ability to perform imaging tasks effectively.
Solid understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
Experience with Eaglesoft or similar dental office management software is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively educate patients about their oral health.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage patient records accurately.
