Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care and committed to providing high-quality dental hygiene services. This role involves working closely with patients to ensure their oral health is maintained and improved through effective hygiene practices. The Dental Hygienist will play a vital role in educating patients about oral health and assisting the dental team in delivering comprehensive care.
Duties
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and performing oral examinations.
Provide preventive dental care, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Document patient care accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and practice protocols.
Assist in four-handed dentistry procedures as needed, ensuring a smooth workflow during treatments.
Collaborate with the dental team to develop individualized patient care plans.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
Work effectively with pediatric patients, ensuring their comfort and understanding during procedures.
Requirements
Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice.
Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is preferred.
Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality.
Experience in dental assisting is a plus but not mandatory.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively on oral health topics.
Ability to perform documentation review accurately and efficiently.
Familiarity with general dentistry practices and pediatric dentistry is advantageous.
