Dental Hygienist

Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. We are looking for full time or part time. We are open Mon-Thurs 9-5, Fridays 9-3. We have kind and skilled providers who are great to work with and for. We are a small general dental office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients while ensuring their comfort and safety.

Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health.

Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical history and current medications.

Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluorides to patients' teeth.

Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to ensure patient safety.

Document medical records accurately, including treatment plans and patient progress.

Assist in medical coding for insurance purposes as needed.

Operate dental imaging equipment to capture X-rays and other diagnostic images.

Provide education to patients about oral hygiene practices and general dentistry.

Collaborate with the dental team in pediatrics and general dentistry procedures.

Maintain a clean and organized dental office environment.

Requirements
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.

Proficiency in medical documentation and coding is preferred.

Experience with Itero scanner is a plus.

Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and patient assessment protocols.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with patients of all ages, especially children in pediatric settings.
