Job Description
Overview
We’re looking for a compassionate, patient focused dental hygienist who enjoys building meaningful connections, providing exceptional care, and being part of a positive, supportive team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for promoting oral health and delivering exceptional patient care within a welcoming environment. Job Responsibilities:
Promotes dental health by completing dental prophylaxis, providing oral cancer screening and radiographic studies.
Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis
Educates patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions
Application of preventatives.
Documents dental hygiene services by charting in patient records.
Prepares treatment room for patient by adhering to prescribed procedures and protocols.
Greets and dismisses patients.
Provides information to patients and employees by answering questions and requests.
Maintains instrumentation for dental hygiene treatment by sharpening, sterilizing, and selecting instruments.
Schedules patient for next dental hygiene visit.
Performs all duties in accordance with HIPAA, OSHA and office policies.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Adheres to infection-control policies and protocols.
Qualifications
Active Pennsylvania Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license
Current local anesthesia certification (preferred, if applicable)
CPR/BLS certification
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care
Experience with digital charting and dental software preferred
