Dental Hygienist

Responsibilities
Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and oral examinations to determine treatment needs
Clean and polish teeth using ultrasonic scalers, hand instruments, and other dental hygiene tools while ensuring patient comfort
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately and efficiently using digital imaging systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing techniques, and dietary advice to promote long-term oral health
Assist with procedures such as periodontal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry when necessary
Maintain detailed and accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office protocols
Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure seamless patient care and smooth clinic operations
Qualifications
Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current CPR certification
Proven experience in general dentistry with familiarity in dental terminology and clinical procedures
Strong knowledge of dental specialties including periodontics, orthodontics, prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and related fields
Proficiency in dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for charting, scheduling, and medical records management
Experience with EMR systems and medical coding to ensure accurate documentation of treatments
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health needs
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and patient comfort

Pay: $43.00 - $52.00 per hour
