Dental Hygienist — No Insurance Games, Advanced Technology, Four-Day Week
Casco Bay Smiles | Falmouth, Maine | Tuesday–Friday
Tired of patients who only care what insurance covers instead of what's best for their health? Tired of being pushed to upsell treatment patients don't need? Tired of hand-scaling all day with outdated instruments and no time to connect with anyone?

Casco Bay Smiles is an independent, fee-for-service practice in Falmouth, with one of the most advanced hygiene departments in the state. We're growing — expanding the practice and adding a doctor — and we're looking for an experienced hygienist to grow with us. Led by a Kois-trained dentist serious about clinical excellence, we practice consistent, evidence-based dentistry built on proven clinical systems — not on what insurance will cover. You'll be a thorough, comprehensive clinician who educates patients and presents the ideal treatment they need — never pushing, never overselling. Do excellent work, and everything else follows. And you won't be working alone. We have a stable, experienced hygiene team that takes the work seriously and pushes each other to be better.
Our hygiene program:
Advanced periodontal care built on the latest protocols, including diode laser therapy for non-surgical treatment and saliva testing to guide periodontal therapy
Guided Biofilm Therapy with air-powder polishing — gentler on patients and far easier on your hands, wrists, neck, and back than a full day of hand scaling
Full digital workflow — Planmeca CBCT, Medit scanners, and intraoral photography
60-minute recare and 90-minute new-patient appointments — real time to do thorough work, with longer blocks for SRP and new patients
Clear, evidence-based clinical protocols and regular calibration — the whole team practices to the same high standard, so care is consistent and you're always supported
Real room to grow — expand your skills, take on advanced cases, and move toward a clinical leadership role
Schedule (Tues–Fri): Tues & Thurs 7–4, Wed 8–5, Fri 8–3. Plan to arrive 30 minutes before patient care for the morning huddle and stay about 30 minutes after to wrap up the day.
Compensation: $44–47/hour based on experience, plus a production bonus that rewards quality care.
