Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care by performing thorough dental cleanings, assisting with patient assessments, and supporting the overall health and well-being of our patients. Your expertise in dental hygiene procedures, infection control, and patient education will help foster a positive experience for every individual who walks through our doors. Responsibilities
Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning teeth, removing plaque and tartar, and applying fluoride treatments to promote optimal oral health.

Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans.

Assist the dentist during various procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and comfort.

Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed.

Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to enhance their understanding of dental health.

Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Follow strict infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures, to maintain a safe clinical environment.

Requirements
Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice in a clinical setting.

Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments, with familiarity in pediatric dentistry preferred.

Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control standards.

Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with medical coding and documentation review is a plus.

Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and communicate clearly.

Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining a professional demeanor.
