Duties
Perform dental prophylaxis, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque, calculus, and stains, ensuring optimal oral health.

Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to develop tailored treatment plans.

Take and interpret dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring high-quality imaging for accurate diagnosis while adhering to infection prevention protocols.

Occasionally assist during dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.

Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to empower them in maintaining healthy smiles.

Manage electronic health records (EHR/EMR systems) accurately by documenting treatment details, medical information, and procedural notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Maintain infection control standards by sterilizing equipment, practicing aseptic techniques, and ensuring the dental environment adheres to all safety guidelines.

Experience
Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a busy dental office or clinic setting with a strong understanding of general dentistry procedures.

Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix for scheduling, documentation review, and record management.

Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles for treating young patients effectively and compassionately.

Familiarity with medical terminology, medical imaging techniques, and medical records management for comprehensive patient care.

Skilled in chairside assisting during various dental procedures while maintaining excellent patient care and communication skills.

Strong understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control practices, including HIPAA compliance and maintaining patient confidentiality.

Ability to work efficiently within a team environment using excellent client communication skills to foster trust and rapport with patients of all ages.
