Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team on a part time shift. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high-quality patient care and education while ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for our patients. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and assisting in various dental procedures.
Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings and scaling procedures to maintain optimal oral health for patients.
Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and vital signs, to ensure comprehensive care.
Take radiographs for new patients and recall exams as well as intraoral scans.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations.
Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes, utilizing dental terminology and systems.
Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Stay updated on advancements in general dentistry practices and medical terminology to provide the best care possible.
Requirements
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, infection control practices, and general dentistry procedures.
Experience with patient assessment techniques and familiarity with vital signs monitoring is preferred.
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with the dental team.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Previous experience in a dental office setting is highly desirable but not mandatory.
