serving the greater Dallas–Fort Worth area, led by Dr. Minaxi Mirkal, DDS. We follow the

Position summary
The Dental Hygienist at Prime Integrative Dentistry is a vital member of our clinical team,
providing exceptional preventive care while embracing our whole-body, biological approach to
oral health. This role goes beyond traditional hygiene our hygienists educate patients on the
oral-systemic connection, support biocompatible treatment protocols, and help patients
understand how their oral health impacts overall wellness. The ideal candidate shares our
philosophy that symptoms are signals, not problems to mask, and is passionate about helping
patients achieve lasting health through prevention and education.

Key responsibilities.

Preventive care & periodontal health
Perform comprehensive prophylaxis and periodontal therapy with attention to each patient’s
unique health profile and systemic considerations
Provide scaling and root planing for patients with periodontal disease, understanding its
connection to systemic inflammation
Apply fluoride-free preventive treatments hydroxyapatite remineralization, ozone therapy,
and biocompatible alternatives aligned with our philosophy
Support patients preparing for restorative or cosmetic procedures by ensuring optimal
gingival health
Utilize LANAP laser therapy and nonsurgical periodontal techniques as directed by our
doctor
Patient assessment & root-cause focus
Conduct thorough periodontal assessments including probing depths, bleeding points,
recession measurements, and airway observations
Take and review digital radiographs and intraoral photographs, noting findings that may
indicate systemic connections
Screen for oral cancer, oral-systemic risk factors, airway concerns, and TMJ dysfunction
during each hygiene appointment
Support the materials-reactivity (biocompatibility) evaluation and salivary/pH screening
during the new patient experience
Document findings thoroughly in the practice management software and communicate
concerns to our doctor
Patient education & whole-body wellness
Educate patients on the oral-systemic connection and how periodontal health impacts heart
health, diabetes, and pregnancy outcomes
Provide customized home-care instructions using biocompatible, fluoride-free oral care
products
Discuss lifestyle factors affecting oral health nutrition, sleep quality, breathing patterns, and
stress
Explain biocompatible material choices and why we avoid materials commonly used in
conventional dentistry
Collaborative care & practice standards
Work closely with Dr. Mirkal and the clinical team to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care
Support preparation for procedures including safe amalgam removal (SMART/PROTECT),
zirconia restorations, and PRF
Participate in case discussions and contribute a hygiene perspective to treatment planning
Maintain strict infection control in compliance with OSHA and CDC guidelines and keep a
calm, organized operatory
Qualifications.

Required
Current Texas dental hygiene license (RDH) in good standing
Associate or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited dental hygiene program
Current CPR/BLS certification
Texas radiology and local-anesthesia/nitrous monitoring permits per scope of practice
Minimum 2 years of clinical hygiene experience
Proficiency with dental practice management software
Preferred
Interest in or experience with biological, holistic, or integrative dentistry
Experience with periodontal therapy, SRP, and periodontal maintenance
LANAP or soft-tissue laser therapy training
Knowledge of oral-systemic health connections
Familiarity with fluoride-free / hydroxyapatite preventive protocols
Personal attributes

Position details.

SCHEDULE Full-time. Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM (Central Time).

COMPENSATION Competitive and commensurate with experience. Base pay and
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Extended standing, fine motor tasks, and occasional lifting up to
lbs; potential exposure to clinical materials with appropriate PPE.
