Job Description
Overview
We are a private dentist-owned practice where we strongly believe in treating our employees and patients with care and respect. We are currently looking for an experienced Registered Dental Hygienist.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of dental hygiene practices. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in promoting oral health, providing preventive dental services, and supporting the overall well-being of our patients. Your expertise will contribute to creating a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and confident in their dental care experience.
An active Registered Dental Hygienist License is required. A minimum of 2+ years of experience is preferred however we are open to all experience levels. Familiarity with Open dental software would be helpful but is not required.
Duties for our Registered Dental Hygienist include:
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Conduct patient assessments by taking medical history, and evaluating oral health status.
Educate patients on proper dental care techniques, oral hygiene practices, and preventive measures.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays) using digital imaging equipment and intra-oral photos while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in electronic health record (EHR) systems in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Ensure infection prevention measures are strictly adhered to through aseptic techniques and sterilization of dental instruments and equipment.
Collaborate with dentists and other team members to develop personalized treatment plans for patients.
Manage patient appointments efficiently using electronic scheduling systems, ensuring smooth workflow.
Uphold confidentiality standards and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations related to patient information security.
Qualifications
Valid licensure as a Dental Hygienist in accordance with state licensing boards.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health.
Experience with digital X-ray systems and intra-oral imaging.
Knowledge of infection control protocols and HIPAA compliance standards.
Excellent patient communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
Commitment to providing exceptional patient care as part of a caring, compassionate team.
1 hour per patient recare appointments. 1 hour lunch.
Compensation: $50-$55/hr + Benefits
Schedule: Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm*
