Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for patient care, with a comprehensive understanding of dental hygiene practices and clinical procedures. This role offers flexibility for full-time or part-time employment, providing an opportunity to deliver exceptional oral health services in a professional and welcoming environment. The Dental Hygienist will be responsible for providing preventive dental care, patient education, and assisting the dental team in maintaining high standards of clinical excellence and patient safety.
Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to promote optimal oral health.
Conduct initial patient assessments by reviewing medical histories and vital signs to ensure safe treatment planning.
Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) while adhering to infection control protocols.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and EMR systems.
Monitor and document vital signs, medical history updates, and other relevant patient information.
Ensure the sterilization of dental instruments using aseptic techniques and maintain a clean clinical environment.
Qualifications
Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in New Hampshire with current certification to practice.
Experience working in general dentistry practices
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques.
Familiarity with EMR systems and documentation review processes.
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse age groups, including pediatrics.
