Dental Hygienist - Full Time (4 days/wk)

General Description:
The Dental Hygienist works as part of the dental team performing those clinical duties necessary to assist the patient and the dentist during the dental visit.***Federal Student Loan Repayment Programs available***

Minimum Qualifications:
Certified to practice as a dental hygienist in the state of NE
1-2 years dental hygienist experience preferred
Basic Life Support Certified
Ability to work with a diverse patient base
High level of professionalism
Good oral and written communication skills
Bilingual in English and Spanish Preferred
Job Responsibilities:
Ensures patient confidentiality and provides patients with needed information.

Review patient’s oral history and keep accurate records, update as needed.

Provides teeth cleaning services for the patient.

Takes dental x-rays, following all required procedures.

Apply fluorides and sealants to teeth as needed.

Educates patients on proper dental care, including brushing and flossing techniques.

Performs other duties required by the Dentist to meet the goal of providing primary health care.

Performs other necessary duties as required by the Heartland Health Center to achieve the goal of providing dental health care services.
