Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care and education to our patients, ensuring their comfort and understanding of oral hygiene practices. This role requires a strong foundation in general dentistry, as well as proficiency in various dental office procedures and technologies.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar.
Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical history and taking vital signs.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow within the clinic.
Maintain accurate patient records using soft dent, are adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Utilize medical terminology effectively when communicating with patients and staff.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Ensure that all dental equipment is sterilized and maintained according to safety standards.
Requirements
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Strong knowledge of general dentistry principles and practices.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
Experience working in a dental office setting is preferred.
Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software.
Understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
Knowledge of anatomy relevant to oral health care.
Experience with dental is a plus but not required.
Ability to perform medical imaging procedures as needed.
