Waiting room
Reception desk
Individual operatories
Responsibilities:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning teeth, taking x-rays, and applying fluoride treatments, sealants
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide recommendations for at-home care
- Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain accurate patient records
- Use dental software systems such as Dentrix, Epic, Eaglesoft, Opendental to input and retrieve patient information
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe dental environment
Experience:
- Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Dentrix, Epic, Eaglesoft, Opendental
- Knowledge of medical coding and insurance billing procedures
- Strong communication skills to effectively educate and communicate with patients
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
