Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history and vital signs to ensure safety during procedures.
Assist dentists with chairside procedures such as examinations, restorations, and other dental treatments.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to their needs.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and medical histories in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Utilize dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for scheduling, record-keeping, and billing purposes.
Follow strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a sterile environment.
Support the dental team by managing medical imaging procedures and ensuring proper operation of radiographic equipment.
Monitor patient vital signs during appointments to identify any health concerns promptly.
Uphold high standards of patient care through compassionate communication and professional demeanor.
Qualifications
Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice in a clinical setting.
Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments is highly desirable.
Proficiency with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical coding.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry techniques and working with pediatric patients is preferred.
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with team members.
Ability to perform chairside assisting duties efficiently while maintaining patient comfort.
