Dental Hygienist (RDH)
Location: Maryville, TN
Job Type: Contract
Contract: October 15, 2026 June 30, 2027
Pay Rate: $ 45 To $ 55 per hour
Schedule: Monday Friday | 8:00 AM 4:30 PM | 37.5 Hours Per Week
Work Setting: Public Health / Community Dental Services
Experience: Dental Hygiene Experience Required
About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Dental Hygienist (RDH) for a contract opportunity in Maryville, Tennessee. The Dental Hygienist will provide preventive and clinical dental hygiene services to targeted populations in public health and community-based settings.
The role includes dental screenings, sealants, fluoride treatments, Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF) applications, oral health education, infection control, clinical documentation, and patient instruction in proper oral hygiene techniques.
Responsibilities
Provide preventive dental services including screenings, sealants, Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF), fluoride applications, and oral health education.
Deliver clinical dental hygiene services and educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive dental care.
Review patient information and records to identify treatment needs and provide services within the permitted dental hygiene scope of practice.
Maintain accurate records of screenings and services while following sterilization, infection-control, and applicable regulatory standards.
Maintain dental equipment and supplies and collaborate with appropriate stakeholders to support effective delivery of community dental services.
Requirements
Qualified Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) Able to Practice Within the Tennessee Dental Hygiene Scope of Practice Required.
Knowledge of Preventive Dental Care, Dental Screening, Sealants, Fluoride Treatment, and Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF) Required.
Knowledge of Sterilization, Infection Prevention, Clinical Documentation, and Dental Equipment Management Required.
Strong Patient Education, Communication, Collaboration, and Oral Health Instruction Skills Required.
Candidate Must Be a Tennessee Resident Prior to the Start of the Assignment.
The Dental Hygienist will provide professional, patient-centered preventive oral healthcare while supporting community-based dental health and education initiatives.
