Overview
We are a well-established, family run dental practice in Hinsdale looking for a kind, hard working, family oriented dental hygienist to join our team! We are looking to hire the perfect person as opposed to trying to fill a specific schedule so hours can be flexible per request. Office is less than 5 minute walk from Hinsdale Metra stop. Full time benefits include insurance, 401K and paid vacation.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, adhering to best practices in infection prevention management.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using appropriate dental imaging techniques while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation review in Eaglesoft
Ensure all dental equipment is properly sterilized, maintained, and operated following healthcare infection prevention and control standards.
Qualifications
Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice.
Knowledge of Eaglesoft preferred but not required.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy relevant to dentistry, and pediatric dentistry principles when working with children.
1 year experience preferred but not required.
Expertise in infection prevention management including aseptic technique and healthcare infection control standards.
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs accurately while maintaining confidentiality at all times.
Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety protocols.
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance management to ensure the privacy of patient information is always protected.
Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
