Dental Hygienist

Job Summary
We are seeking a licensed, full-time Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and committed to providing high-quality preventive and therapeutic dental care in a collaborative practice environment.

Key Responsibilities
Perform dental cleanings (prophylaxis), scaling, and root planing for patients of all ages
Take, process, and review diagnostic dental X-rays
Screen patients for oral health issues, including signs of gum disease, decay, and oral cancer, and report findings to the dentist
Apply preventive treatments such as fluoride varnish and dental sealants
Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing, and personalized home care routines
Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient charts and treatment records
Sterilize instruments and follow all infection control and OSHA safety protocols
Assist the dentist during exams and procedures as needed
Coordinate with front office staff on scheduling, treatment plans, and patient follow-up
Stay current on continuing education requirements and state licensure renewal
Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited dental hygiene program
Current, valid dental hygiene license in good standing (or eligible for licensure in MO)
Current CPR/BLS certification
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach
High attention to detail and commitment to patient comfort and safety
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
Experience with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix) preferred
Prior clinical experience preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply
