Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. *NEW GRADS WELCOME!* We are a small, friendly private practice (not part of a chain) where we treat every patient like they're part of the family! We're looking for someone to work Mondays (10-5), Tuesdays (10-6), and Thursdays (10-7)- but can be flexible. The ideal candidate will provide quality dental care and promote oral health. Salary based on experience. Come join us!!
Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Capture and interpret dental radiographs (X-rays) ensuring proper safety protocols are followed
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment plans to promote lifelong dental health
Follow strict infection prevention management protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization of dental equipment
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining patient confidentiality at all times
Requirements
Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice in a clinical setting
Proven experience working in a dental office or clinic environment
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry
Expertise in infection prevention practices, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control standards
Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety guidelines
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with diverse patient populations including pediatrics
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance management and maintaining patient confidentiality rigorously
Ability to work collaboratively within a team dedicated to providing high-quality general dentistry services
