Direct Mobile Dental Services
Direct Mobile Dental Services provides on-site dental care to residents of assisted living and skilled nursing communities throughout Pennsylvania. Our mission is to improve access to quality dental care for patients who otherwise face significant barriers to treatment.
Position Overview
This hybrid role offers a blend of traditional private practice hygiene and mobile dental services.
Your schedule may include:
Providing preventive hygiene care in our dental office
Traveling to assisted living and skilled nursing facilities to perform dental cleanings and preventive services
Educating patients on oral health and home-care techniques
Working closely with dentists, facility staff, caregivers, and family members
Helping improve the quality of life for elderly and special-needs patients
Prospective hygienists will participate in a Clinical Observation Day to learn about our office, facility operations, and mobile dental care model.
Responsibilities
Perform dental cleanings (prophylaxis) and periodontal maintenance
Conduct patient assessments and document findings
Take diagnostic-quality dental radiographs
Chart oral conditions, periodontal findings, and treatment recommendations
Apply fluoride treatments and preventive therapies
Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation
Follow OSHA, CDC, and infection-control guidelines
Maintain equipment, instruments, and clinical supplies
Collaborate with doctors and team members to ensure exceptional patient care
Provide compassionate care to elderly and special-needs populations
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program
Active Pennsylvania Dental Hygiene License
Current local anesthesia certification (preferred)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent clinical and organizational abilities
Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to facilities throughout the region
