Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and infection control protocols, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients.
Assess and record patients' medical histories, including vital signs.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.
Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations.
Utilize dental software systems such as Eaglesoft for patient management.
Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures when necessary.
Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure optimal patient care.
Keep accurate records of patient treatments and progress.
Experience
Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or in a similar role is preferred.
Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and infection control practices is essential.
Experience with Eaglesoft or similar dental software is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is beneficial but not mandatory.
