Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling root planing procedures and polishing.
Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and reviewing medical records to personalize treatment.
Assist dentists during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve workflow and patient comfort.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary advice tailored to individual needs.
Operate dental equipment to take intraoral pictures and xrays.
Maintain aseptic techniques and adhere strictly to infection control standards to ensure a sterile environment.
Document all patient interactions.
Requirements
Valid Dental Hygiene license with current certification in Florida.
Proven experience in dental office settings, with familiarity in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry preferred.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, infection control procedures, and HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and communicate clearly.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism.
