Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Take dental radiographs (X-rays)
Assess patients’ oral health status through detailed patient evaluations and medical history reviews
Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options
Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and comfort
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
Follow infection prevention management protocols to ensure patient safety and compliance with HIPAA regulations
Requirements
Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with NY state regulations
Proven experience working in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments
Proficiency with Eaglesoft
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy and dental equipment operation
Familiarity with healthcare infection prevention and control standards, including HIPAA compliance management
Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
Pay: $38.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 33.0 – 36.0 per week
