Job Overview
Successful practice in Kennett Square, PA, that has been serving our community for 40 years. We are currently seeking a Full-time or Part-time Dental Hygienist to work with our team. You will not find another opportunity like this.... patient and safety focused, and a positive team to work with.
We financially support CE as well as internal education that will give you the skills to master all aspects of dentistry, along with being trained in Patient Experience. Our goal is for you to be a huge success!
Responsibilities
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote oral health.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current dental conditions to develop personalized treatment plans.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental techniques.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Softdent.
Follow strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety
Support pediatric dentistry cases by providing gentle, age-appropriate care for children and adolescents
Review documentation for accuracy, ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, and assist with medical coding as needed
Qualifications
Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice.
Proven experience in general dentistry and dental office environments.
Proficiency with EMR systems such as Softdent
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and aseptic techniques.
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and communicate clearly.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to medical records confidentiality and data security.
