About the Role
We are seeking a dependable person who is looking to build not only a career with our practice but to help build a better community.
Key Responsibilities
Perform thorough oral hygiene assessments, including reviewing medical history and dental charting.
Clean and remove plaque and calculus from teeth and along the gumline using dental instruments.
Take dental x-rays and assist the dentist in diagnostic procedures.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized preventive care instructions.
Administer fluoride treatments and apply dental sealants.
Perform periodontal charting to assess and monitor gum health.
Assist the dentist during dental procedures and ensure a sterile and safe environment.
Perform oral cancer screenings and identify any abnormalities.
Manage patient recall system and schedule appointments for follow-up care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date dental records and documentation.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
Adhere to all infection control and sterilization procedures.
Stay updated with advancements in dental hygiene techniques and technologies.
Qualifications
Experience:
Current Colorado Registered Dental Hygienist license.
Local anesthesia certification (preferred)
CPR certification
Excellent communication skills
Comfortable using open dental software.
