Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain optimal oral health.

Assess patient oral health by reviewing medical histories, taking vital signs, and conducting oral examinations.

Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental wellness.

Assist the dentist during procedures such as restorations, extractions, and pediatric dentistry treatments using four-handed dentistry techniques.

Take and develop medical imaging (such as X-rays) while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.

Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Review documentation for accuracy, update patient charts, and assist with medical coding for billing purposes.

Qualifications
Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice.

Proven experience in dental office settings, including general dentistry and pediatric dentistry environments.

Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with medical terminology and medical records management.

Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.

Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining excellent patient care and communication skills.

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security.
