Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing
Conduct periodontal assessments and charting
Take digital radiographs (X-rays)
Apply fluoride treatments and sealants
Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
Review and update medical histories
Collaborate closely with the dentist to develop patient care plans
Maintain accurate and detailed clinical notes
Follow strict infection control and sterilization protocols
Ensure patient comfort and build lasting patient relationships
Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
Current state Dental Hygienist license in good standing
CPR certification
Strong knowledge of periodontal therapy and preventive care
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently while supporting a close-knit team
