Registered Dental Hygienist (FT or PT) – #thesmiledoc (Leander, TX)
Position: Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) – Full-Time or Part-Time
Location: Leander, TX

Advanced Technology Platform: We are a fully digital, paperless office. Our hygiene department utilizes Primescan intraoral scanners and Vatech Green CBCT 3D imaging to deliver highly accurate, visual patient education.
Laser-Assisted Periodontal Therapy (LAPT): We believe in advanced standard-of-care workflows. Soft-tissue Diode Laser therapy is fully integrated into our periodontal and decontamination protocols.
Brilliance in the Basics: We respect your time and energy. We utilize an efficient Cassette & Procedure Bin system to ensure your setup and clean-up workflows are smooth, organized, and lightning-fast. No more running around looking for missing instruments.
Boutique Patient Comfort: We’ve traded the cold, sterile feel of traditional dental offices for a spa-like retreat featuring heated massage chairs, aromatherapy diffusers, and ceiling-mounted TVs to put anxious patients at ease.
Key Responsibilities
Elite Prophylaxis & Periodontal Therapy: Perform exceptionally thorough scaling, root planing (SRP), and cleanings. At #thesmiledoc, our clinical standard is absolute thoroughness.
Laser Decontamination: Utilize soft-tissue diode lasers for decontamination and advanced pocket therapy.
Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct patient screenings, review medical/dental histories, perform oral cancer screenings, and chart existing conditions accurately in Open Dental.
Visual Patient Education: Capture high-resolution intraoral photos and digital X-rays to walk patients through their treatment needs, empowering them to take ownership of their oral health.
Seamless Handoffs: Collaborate closely with our associate and lead doctors during exams, performing professional "clinical-to-front" handoffs that eliminate patient friction.
Pristine Compliance: Strictly adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and safety protocols to maintain a clean, safe, and secure clinical environment.
Qualifications
Active Texas Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license.
Active Diode Laser Certification (highly preferred, or a strong willingness to obtain certification immediately upon hiring).
Meticulous clinical standards with a passion for delivering a perfect, debris-free result every single time.
A "digital-first" mindset; comfortable with advanced technology, digital charting, and scanning.
Outstanding communication skills and a warm, empathetic, and professional demeanor.
Current CPR/BLS certification.
Nitrous Oxide monitoring certification is a plus.
Comfort and experience with pediatric dentistry principles is a wonderful asset for our family demographics.
