Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, ensuring optimal patient comfort and safety.
Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and adherence to infection prevention protocols.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care strategies, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term dental health.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using electronic health records (EHR) systems using Eaglesoft, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
Follow strict infection control procedures, including aseptic techniques and sterilization of dental equipment, to uphold healthcare standards.
Qualifications
Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental cleanings and radiography.
Proven experience working in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings with familiarity in pediatric dentistry practices preferred.
Proficiency in EHR/EHR management systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical records management.
Demonstrated expertise in infection prevention management, healthcare infection control, and aseptic techniques.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about dental care and foster positive client relationships.
