Job Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will directly enhance patient health and confidence! Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions
Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure smooth workflow
Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) while maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, dietary habits, and post-treatment care to promote long-term oral health
Review and update medical records accurately in electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix
Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures, providing chairside assistance and managing patient anxiety effectively
Qualifications
Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice in a clinical setting
Proven experience in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, or both, with familiarity in pediatric dentistry preferred
Proficiency with dental terminology, medical coding, and documentation review for accurate recordkeeping
Strong knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and anatomy relevant to dental procedures
Experience using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for efficient patient data management
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs and communicate clearly and compassionately
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality are maintained at all times
