Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care by performing professional dental cleanings, assisting with patient assessments, and supporting overall dental health initiatives. Your expertise will help ensure our patients receive the highest quality preventive care in a friendly, welcoming environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about promoting oral health, possesses excellent communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency
Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental health
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic policies
Support infection control procedures through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization of instruments
Experience
Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a busy dental office or clinic setting
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and working with pediatric patients preferred
Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and documentation review processes
Experience with medical imaging, vital signs monitoring, and patient care in general dentistry environments
Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining high standards of infection control and aseptic technique
Prior exposure to pediatric dentistry, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance is highly desirable
Schedule: Fridays 8am-1pm
Pay: From $42.00 per hour
