Job Description
The Mount Pleasant Correctional Facility is a minimum custody, male facility that houses approximately 1150 incarcerated individuals.
Our goal is to offer treatment, work, education and apprenticeship opportunities in order to prepare them for their entry back into the neighborhoods of Iowa.
Duties include:
Need to have understanding of dental terminology, dental instruments, equipment and procedures and oral hygiene.
Maintain biological monitoring sterilizing system, assuring it is completed as required.
Use of basic principles of communication and basic theories of learning and education methods in dental health.
Display a high level of initiative, effort and commitment towards completing assignments efficiently; works with minimal supervision and demonstrates responsible behavior and attention to detail; responds appropriately to supervision.
Must be licensed with the Iowa Dental Board and X-Ray licensure.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
Licensure as a Dental Hygienist in the State of Iowa.
