Dental Hygienist

About the Position
Oak Grove Dental is looking for a friendly, compassionate, and motivated Dental Hygienist to join our growing team. We are looking for someone who takes pride in providing excellent patient care, enjoys building relationships with patients, and works well as part of a team.

Our ideal hygienist is experienced, confident in their clinical skills, personable with patients, and committed to creating a comfortable and positive dental experience.

Responsibilities
Provide thorough preventive dental hygiene care, including dental cleanings and periodontal therapy as appropriate
Review medical and dental histories and update patient records
Take and review dental radiographs as directed
Perform periodontal assessments and charting
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene, periodontal health, and preventive care
Communicate treatment recommendations and concerns to the dentist
Provide fluoride treatments and other preventive services as appropriate
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Assist in identifying areas of concern and educating patients about recommended treatment
Maintain a clean, organized, and properly sterilized treatment area
Follow all OSHA, HIPPA, infection control, and office protocols
Build strong, trusting relationships with patients and help them feel comfortable during their visits
Work collaboratively with dentists, dental assistants, and the entire office team
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Current Dental Hygiene license in the state of Kentucky
Current CPR certification and Hepatitis B vaccine
Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program
Strong clinical and communication skills
Professional, dependable, and compassionate
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
Commitment to providing exceptional patient care

Pay: $45.00 - $54.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32.0 – 34.0 per week
