Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral health care! Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain optimal oral health.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans.
Assist the dentist during various procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure smooth workflow and patient comfort.
Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Follow strict infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures, to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice.
Proven experience in dental office settings, with familiarity in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry preferred.
Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and medical coding.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control standards, and medical terminology.
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and communicate clearly.
Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus; comfort working with children is highly valued.
