Dental Hygienist Newton, Kansas
Health Ministries Clinic (HMC) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our integrated care team in Newton, Kansas. This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide patient-centered dental care in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
As a key member of our dental team at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), you will work alongside dentists, medical providers, and support staff to improve oral health within our community. Our integrated care model emphasizes prevention, education, and whole-person health, allowing you to build meaningful relationships with patients while making a lasting impact.
What You'll Do
Provide preventive dental care including cleanings, scaling, and periodontal maintenance
Take and review dental radiographs (X-rays)
Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and overall oral health
Record and maintain accurate patient documentation in the electronic dental record (EDR)
Assist dentists with patient care and treatment planning
Apply fluoride treatments, sealants, and other preventive procedures
Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
Qualifications
Associate or bachelor's degree in dental hygiene
Current, unrestricted Kansas Dental Hygienist License
Current CPR/BLS certification
At least 1 year of dental hygiene experience preferred (new graduates encouraged to apply)
Strong knowledge of dental software and electronic records
Excellent communication and patient education skills
