Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, documenting findings, and updating medical records accurately.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term oral health. Take radiographs while maintaining strict infection control protocols.
Comfortable and skilled in treating patients of all ages.
Maintain aseptic techniques and adhere to infection control standards in compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
Collaborate with dentist to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
Requirements
Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice legally.
Proven experience in dental office settings, preferably with exposure to general dentistry.
Proficiency in dental terminology, for accurate documentation and billing procedures.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, infection control practices, aseptic techniques.
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs compassionately while maintaining professionalism.
