Job Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on maintaining optimal oral health, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental x-ray equipment, ensuring proper technique and patient safety
Assess patients’ vital signs and medical history to inform appropriate treatment plans
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions
Assist with chairside procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix
Ensure strict infection prevention management by adhering to infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA compliance standards
Requirements
Valid NY state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental hygiene procedures
Proven experience in general dentistry
Strong knowledge of dental equipment operation, dental assisting techniques, and patient care best practices
Experience with Dentrix for managing medical records efficiently
Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about dental care and treatment options
Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control standards, including aseptic technique and infection control protocols
