Job Description
We are looking for a Registered Dental Hygienist to join our awesome orthodontic practice. The position available is for an 12 month contract to cover a maternity leave with the potential to continue on afterward as we are a growing practice.
An ideal candidate would be someone with great people skills, a desire to learn, and a solid work ethic. We have a fun and fast paced office that is looking for an individual who is looking to learn and grow with our team. Previous orthodontic experience is preferred, but not required. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to get into orthodontics! New grads are welcome to apply. The position available is for 4 days per week from Monday to Thursday with no evenings or weekends.
What we're looking for:
Registered Dental Hygienist from an accredited program with a current license to practice in the Province of Ontario
HARP certification
An individual who likes working as a team player and desires a positive and upbeat work environment
An individual that can multitask efficiently, learn promptly, and communicate effectively
Bilingual in English and French is preferred but not required

Onsite office-paid continuing education including all necessary infection control, CPR/First Aid and other trainings deemed necessary

What to expect in your role:
Assisting the Orthodontist in the delivery of patient care and support duties
Performing orthodontic adjustments/wire changes
Bonding orthodontic brackets and cementing appliances
Invisalign delivery
Taking diagnostic radiographs and photos
Scanning patients using the digital scanner
Patient education and motivation for oral hygiene, appliance, and elastics instructions
Sterilization of instruments following public health guidelines
Position is available immediately with a flexible start date.
