Job Description
We are growing and looking to find an amazing part-time hygienist to join our great team! We are a privately owned practice with a great team and supportive environment. We value the well-being of our providers and their families. We are excited to invest in a hygienist through mentorship, CE opportunities, and investment in materials and instruments. The hygienist would be in control over scheduling their patients and necessary treatment. The position is for three full days OR 4 partial days per week. Schedule would be M, T, Th 7AM-3PM OR M-Th 7AM-1PM, great for someone wanting a work life balance or with kiddos in school!
Duties Include
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and root planing, polishing, fluoride treatments, and preventative treatments such as Curodont and SDF
- Take digital dental x-rays using a Nomad unit
- Conduct oral cancer screenings
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
- Maintain accurate and detailed electronic patient records using Open Dental
- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- New grads willing to be mentored are encouraged to apply
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with patients
