Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in promoting optimal oral health and patient well-being. Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking vital signs and evaluating oral health status.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, diet, and preventive care strategies.
Assist with various dental procedures such as prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
Maintain accurate medical and dental records using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft and Dentrix while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols.
Collaborate seamlessly with dentists, dental assistants, receptionists, and other team members to ensure smooth patient flow and exceptional care delivery.
Requirements
Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice.
Proven experience working in general dentistry or specialized areas such as pediatric dentistry or oral surgery.
Proficiency in dental terminology, medical coding, and medical documentation practices.
Familiarity with EHR systems including Eaglesoft and Dentrix for managing patient records efficiently.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Strong understanding of dental assisting procedures, vital signs monitoring, and medical terminology relevant to dental care.
Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and coordinate with team members.
Prior experience working in a fast-paced dental clinic environment is highly desirable.
