Job Description
Job Responsibilities
YourTown Health in Palmetto, Georgia is currently seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) responsible for performing advanced prophylactic and preventative dental procedures to all patients. They will work directly with the Dentists and Support Staff to assure quality dental care to all patients regardless of the ability to pay.
Principle responsibilities include:
Perform oral prophylaxis
Review patient's medical and dental history
Examine the teeth and surrounding tissues for evidence of plaque and periodontal disease and chart all findings
Inspect the mouth and throat for evidence of disease
Perform routine x-rays including taking quality digital dental radiographs and refer abnormalities to the Dentist
Prepare dental hygiene treatment plans and the sequence of appointments needed to complete treatment
Perform deep sub-gingival scaling, root debridement, and curettage under local anesthesia
Apply fluoride varnish and sealants as indicated
Educate patients on the need for daily oral health and fluoride
Community out-reach program involvement
Education
High School diploma or equivalent required
Degree from an accredited Dental Hygiene Program required
Experience
1+ years of Dental Hygienist experience (preferred)
3+ years working experience in a field that requires continual customer contact (required)
Must be professional and organized as well as have excellent interpersonal skills
Bi-lingual in English and Spanish a plus but not required
