Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Conduct medical imaging procedures like X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques
Review medical records and documentation for accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and proper medical coding practices
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong oral health habits
Maintain sterile environments through infection control procedures, including sterilization of instruments and proper disposal of biohazard materials
Experience
Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental office or clinic setting
Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and record keeping
Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and pediatric dentistry principles
Strong understanding of infection control standards, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures in accordance with OSHA guidelines
