Job Description
Overview
Join our small, privately owned pediatric dental office as a Dental Hygienist! In this energetic role, you will provide preventive dental services to children and teens, educate patients on oral health, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. We are looking for a part-time hygienist to work Mondays and Tuesdays.
Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Take dental radiographs when needed.
Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions.
Maintain strict infection control standards by following aseptic techniques, sterilization protocols, and HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
Qualifications
Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice.
Proven experience in dental office settings, preferably in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry.
Familiarity with infection control procedures, medical imaging techniques, and medical terminology.
