Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and periodontal therapy using aseptic techniques.
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and documenting findings accurately.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures to ensure smooth and efficient clinic operations.
Use dental terminology effectively when communicating with patients and colleagues.
Maintain accurate records utilizing dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix (will train if needed)
Collaborate with the dental team to provide outstanding care across general and pediatric dentistry.
Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene techniques and technologies.
Requirements
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Proficiency in aseptic technique; dental assisting experience is preferred.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry is an asset.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology and documentation review.
Prior experience in a dental clinic is highly desirable.
Excellent communication and patient education skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused atmosphere.
