Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice on a part-time or full-time basis. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, assist with dental procedures, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professionals experienced in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and dental office operations to contribute to a welcoming and efficient clinical environment. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical records management, with a focus on delivering comprehensive oral health services.
Responsibilities
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure and pulse
Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Conduct patient assessments, review medical histories, and document findings accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
Take dental radiographs
Ensure proper aseptic technique and infection control protocols.
Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy.
Maintain infection control standards by sterilizing instruments and ensuring a sterile environment.
Skills
Proficiency in dental software systems such as Softdent
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
Certified CPR, First AID, AED
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively.
Ability to work efficiently in general dentistry setting .
Prior experience working in dental clinics or offices is desirable but not needed for success in this role. This position offers a dynamic work environment where your expertise will directly impact patients’ oral health outcomes while supporting the overall efficiency of our practice.
