Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care and possess a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices. This role is essential in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and health through effective hygiene procedures.
Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings, periodontal maintenance and examinations, including scaling, root planing and polishing teeth.
Assess patients' oral health by taking vital signs and conducting patient assessments.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Maintain infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Document patient information accurately in Dentrix or other dental software systems.
Collaborate with the dental team to develop individualized patient care plans.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Qualifications
Proven experience in patient care within a dental office setting is preferred.
Strong knowledge of anatomy as it relates to oral health.
Knowledge and experience cleaning implant bars and full-arch implant bridges
Proficient in taking vital signs and performing patient assessments.
Proficiency with Oral Hygiene Instruction for Elderly Patients.
Understanding of infection control standards and practices.
Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques is desirable.
Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental management software is a plus.
Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
