Job Description

Dental Hygienist — Part-Time With Opportunity to Grow Into Full-Time
Are you a compassionate, motivated dental hygienist looking for a practice where you can build a long-term career? Oxford Family Dentistry is seeking the right hygienist to join our growing, quality-focused private practice. This position would begin with one to two days per week, with the opportunity to gradually grow into a full-time role as our practice continues to expand. Available days include Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and we are happy to work with the right candidate to create a schedule that fits.

We are looking for more than someone to simply complete a hygiene appointment. We want a hygienist who takes pride in providing thorough, individualized care, educating patients about their oral health, and helping patients understand the conditions affecting their teeth and gums. The ideal candidate will be comfortable administering local anesthesia and actively participating in co-diagnosis by gathering clinical information, identifying areas of concern, and communicating findings clearly with both the patient and doctors.

About Us
Oxford Family Dentistry is a close-knit, husband-and-wife-owned private practice committed to delivering exceptional dentistry and creating an outstanding experience for every patient. Our culture is extremely important to us. We foster teamwork, open communication, mutual respect, and collaboration among every member of our team.

Our office provides a wide variety of comprehensive dental procedures, including same-day crowns, inlays, onlays, dental implants, root canal treatment, and clear aligner orthodontic treatment. This allows our hygienists to expand their knowledge, collaborate closely with the doctors, and play an important role in educating patients about a broad range of treatment options.

As our practice grows, we are looking for a hygienist who is not simply searching for another job, but who wants to become an important part of our practice for years to come. We value professional development, continuing education, clinical excellence, and team members who are excited to grow alongside the practice.

What You’ll Do

Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and team-oriented environment
Help create an exceptional experience for every patient
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for a hygienist who is motivated to continually improve, takes pride in delivering high-quality care, and genuinely enjoys connecting with patients. The right candidate will be a strong communicator who understands that excellent hygiene care involves not only clinical treatment, but also patient education, trust, and collaboration with the entire dental team.

Ideal Candidate
Holds a current dental hygiene license and required certifications
Is licensed and comfortable administering local anesthesia
Has a strong commitment to patient education and comprehensive care
Is comfortable discussing oral health conditions and treatment needs with patients
Enjoys participating in co-diagnosis with the doctors
Is interested in learning about a wide variety of dental procedures and treatment options
Works well as part of a team and contributes to a positive workplace culture
Values collaboration, communication, and mutual respect
Takes pride in delivering compassionate, detail-oriented care
Has an interest in professional growth and a long-term position
Wants to grow from a part-time schedule into a full-time role as the practice expands
