Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care by performing dental cleanings, assessments, and preventive treatments while educating patients on oral health. Your expertise will help ensure our patients enjoy healthy smiles and positive dental experiences. Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency and comfort.
Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and preventive care strategies.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical history in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
Follow strict infection control procedures, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and safety.
Requirements
Valid Dental Hygienist license with current state licensure.
Proven experience in dental office settings, with familiarity in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry preferred.
Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding for documentation review.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic technique.
Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable.
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment utilizing chairside assisting skills.
